Our skin is VERY important, it protects our bodies, keeps our body temperature just right and allows the sense of touch.
We need to protect our skin from the sun research & studies have shown that overexposure to the sun can cause wrinkles, age spots and other skin problems. Do not smoke research & studies on this shows that smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of the skin in turn decreasing healthy blood flow. Treat your skin gently hot water and long showers remove oils from your skin-use warm water rather than hot. Avoid using harsh drying strong soaps-strong soaps and detergents (in soaps) strip your skin of it’s natural oils. Shave carefully-use a clean sharp razor, shave in the direction the hair grows. Pat dry your skin so that some moisture remains on your skin. Eat healthy-eat plenty of fruits, & vegetables. Manage stress-the emphasis is on manage. Stress is unavoidable so take steps to manage & control it. Set reasonable limits-take time to do the things you enjoy! Exercise-a body in motion stays in motion, the blood needs to circulate – moderate exercise is vital. Walking is healthy!
Remember that what we put on our skin is just as important as what we put into our bodies.
